Did a really cool shoot today in Joziburg for a thingy in an upcoming issue of Woman & Home Mag.
Was a lovely change from the old routine, and spent the day with their super-cool, incredibly talented team, which was very happy-making.
(Incredible stylist; Jessica Rayne; Genius makeup artist: Tamzin Reynolds; Wonderful photographer: Irma Bosch and clever Photographic Editor for Women & Home: Nicole Naidoo; the best Feature’s Writer: Lauren McDairmid -Will post some of the actual pics once the mag goes live.)
I somehow missed that day at school when they taught us how to put on makeup, so I’m a bit clueless, I have my same three tricks that I use every time, and by tricks i mean smudged mascara, wonky eyeliner and lipstick that’s gone in sixty seconds. So it was quite a treat to get it done all professional-like. I kind of wish I’d paid more attention while they were doing it all.
But I did learn one thing:

Lesson learnt today:
Before you have professionally-done hair and a smokey eye, the Europcar guy greets you with, ‘Hello Ma’am’. After smokey eye it’s, ‘Hello Beautiful’.
The R140 surcharge you’ve always paid before for delivering the car to the wrong place magically disappears.
And your chances of getting hit on by businessmen at the airport increase by 150%. I may have to learn how to do a smokey eye!
Or maybe I just looked like a prostitute… either way, success.
