You know that thing when you never really know about something. And then the second you hear about it suddenly it’s everywhere? Yes I’ve been having that.
Sunday’s column was on glamping – glamorous camping.
And shortly after I’d written that column, I came across this:
It’s a Volksie Bus Tent. Rad, right?
I loves it.
If this van-tenty thing is rocking, don’t come a knocking.
And it comes in a ton of rad vintagey colours too. Too cool.
I wouldn’t half mind camping in that. With or without an FUD.
Once I’d stumbled across that, i decided to do a proper search, and it turns out that funky tents are all the glamping rage.
There’s sandwich tent:
Although is it such a good idea to look like lunch out in the great outdoors? Perhaps not.
Or if you like something a little more sturdy, the wolf can huff and puff all he likes, he’s not blowing this one down.
And they say animal prints are the new black. Although nobody wants to wake up in the middle of the bushveld, in the middle of the night being shagged by a cheetah.
This is definitely more my style. I always take a book with me wherever I go, anyway.
Bet the ants like that one.
Most of these come from a company called Field Candy.
They’re not cheap, but then what would you expect? They’ve had a good education:
Brilliant! I had to go and see, you missed the best one!!

Yes, animal farm 😀 Of course, i was listening to Pink Floyd’s “Animals” this morning, but a sheep on a tent, like camouflage for hippies!!!
