I recently came across a girl called Caroline, but that’s a whole other story for a whole other day.
Until I tell that story, this is what you need to know for this story.
Caroline is in Grade 9 at Springfield Convent.
And she has a blog over here, called A Girl Called Caroline and that was where I found this utterly charming idea:
You take an envelope…
Turn it upside down and write ‘you fell asleep here’.
And draw a dotted line. Bear with me, the logic here will soon be revealed.
Then cut it out, and slip it onto the corner of the book you’re reading, juuuuust before you fall asleep.
Like so:
Charming right?
Here’s another example, which comes from another incredibly charming blogger and possible inventer of this idea, Diary of a Tea Tippler.
I don’t know about you, but that’s enough to make my Monday.
Paige you are so amazing! Thank you for all your help! you really are such an inspiration.
No ways, I love this! Going to send it to the team at Penguin, it’s so cool. x
Awesome! tell me what they think! 😉
We think it’s amazing! We’ll be telling our followers about it today.
Wow! That’s amazing! Thank you all so much!
Ah you girls are too stunning! I love both your blogs to absolute bits xxxxx Just from my side, while I would love to take credit for such a nifty idea, I would hate to steal someone else’s thunder – I’m merely a lover of pretty and airy fairy things and all the pics in that post (http://moskonfyt.blogspot.com/2012/08/back-from-outer-space.html) came from Pinterest 🙂 I tracked it back to the original blog it was posted on http://dsharp.typepad.com/dsharp/2008/05/cutting-corners.html, who says she found the idea in a kiddies craft book, so that’s about as far back as I could go. Many hugs and buckets of happy thoughts to you both! xoxo
haha thank you Charn! you too <3
Ahhh good to know the origin of such a cute idea. thanks Charn. xx
Big pleasure! And please forgive my moment of soppy admiration, but you’re too awesome. Consider me a fan 🙂
it sure beats old tissues and chip packets as bookmarks 🙂
